Porto.Card

The Porto.Card is the official card of the city of Porto that offers free tickets and discounts. There are several modalities, the Porto.Card Walking (1, 2, 3 and 4 days) and the Porto.Card Transport (andante tour 1, 2, 3 and 4 days). The difference between the Pedestrian Porto.Card and the Transports Port.Card is only in relation to transport, which is not included in the Pedestrian Porto.Card. All other offers are included in both. The Porto.Card Walking is more suitable for those who just want to visit the historic center of Porto, while the Porto.Card Transports works better for those who want to go beyond the historic center and get to know other areas of the city.

The Porto.Card is personal and non-transferable, and is valid once completed, with the date of start of use in the reserved space on the card. To take advantage of free tickets or discounts, simply present the Porto.Card at the partner locations.

With the walkinporto app you will find Porto.Card’s partner locations that are in the historic center. This app is a personal tour guide on your phone and contains walking tours with information about the history and culture of the city and its monuments. The app also contains information about Porto.Card partners who are located on the routes. So, if you purchase the Porto.Card and decide to get to know the historic center of Porto by walking through the streets, you will not only get to know the history of Porto but also the places with free admission or discounts.

Porto.Card Transports

In the case of the Porto.Card Transports (andante tour 1, 2, 3 and 4 days) the public transport tickets included in the andante tour must be validated on each time when starting a journey, when changing lines or type of transport. In the case of metro and train, validators are located at the stations, and in the case of buses, they are located at the entrance of the vehicles. THE ELECTRIC CAR IS NOT INCLUDED IN PORTO’S OFFER. CARD. 

Each andante tour has unlimited access to the public transport mentioned below, during the validity period of the card. The 1-day andante tour is valid for 24 hours from the first validation. The 2-day andante tour is a 1-day andante tour + a 1-day andante tour, and it is advisable to keep them separately or mark them with a pen (day 1 and day 2) so there is no confusion during use. The 3-day andante tour is valid for 72 hours from the first validation. The Andante Tour 4 days is an Andante tour 3 days + an Andante tour 1 day. Andante tour cards are active on the first validation at the machines at the stations or on-board.

  • It is personal and non-transferable. 
  • It is valid once filled in with the date of start of use, in the reserved space on the card. 
  • It should be kept without bending, scratching or wetting. 
  • It is not rechargeable. 
  • Tickets for modalities 1, 2, 3 and 4 days must be validated in each means of transport at the start of a journey, when changing lines or transport, either at the validators at the stations or at the validators at the entrance of the vehicles, in the case of buses. 
  • It gives access to free tickets and discounts only once, and is unlimited use in transport, during the validity period of the card. 
  • Does not include Electric. 
  • To take advantage of the discount, the card must be presented before making the payment. 
  • In the case of sales, promotions or special discounts, the associated entity is not obliged to make the Porto.CARD discount. 
  • It is up to the associated entity to decide whether other cards/vouchers or discount coupons are cumulated with Porto.CARD. 
  • For each billed expense, only one card discount will be applicable. 
  • Loss, theft or non-use of the card does not give rise to a refund or replacement. 
  • If you choose to buy online, you can choose to pick up your card at one of the Porto Tourist Offices or receive it comfortably at home. 
  • Online purchases only: deadline for free deliveries to the residence – 8 days, after payment confirmation. 
  • Before visiting any museum, monument or going to a restaurant, make sure it is not closed. 
  • Take the Porto.CARD and the respective Guide with you to present them at the associated entities. 
  • The customer is solely responsible to ATP-Associação de Turismo do Porto and any third parties for the use of the Card, by himself or by third parties, undertaking to use the Card only for the purposes set out in this Agreement and in compliance with all legal, regulatory or contractual provisions to which he is bound and which are related to the use of the card and its features,  and should not intervene in any way. 
  • The customer may not distribute, make available to third parties, demonstrate, market, make available, license or transmit, in any form or by any means, the Card to third parties. 
  • The customer expressly declares to consent to the integration of the card subject to this Agreement into the card scanning, creation and management platform and acknowledges that he/she may not, in any way or by any means, access said platform. 

10% discount on the price of the Porto.CARD, in any modality, for members of the Automobile Club of Portugal (ACP) and the automobile clubs belonging to the ARC, its value will be: €5.40, €9, €11.70, €13.50, €11.70, €18, €22.50 and €29.70, for the modalities of 1 day, 2 days, 3 days and 4 days without transport,  and 1 day, 2 days, 3 days and 4 days with transports, respectively. This discount is applicable exclusively to cards purchased at the Porto Tourist Offices, and it is necessary to present the membership card.

​10% discount on the price of Porto.CARD with transport, in all modalities, for Eurail and Interrail Pass users, its value will be: €11.70, €18, €22.50, €29.70, for the modalities of 1 day, 2 days, 3 days and 4 days, respectively. 

25% discount on the price of the pedestrian Porto.CARD, in all modalities, for Eurail and Interrail Pass users, its value will be: €4.50, €7.50, €9.75, €11.25, for the modalities of 1 day, 2 days, 3 days and 4 days, respectively. 

This discount is applicable exclusively to cards purchased at the Tourist Office – Centre or Tourist Office – Cathedral (Medieval Tower), requiring the presentation of the Eurail or Interrail Pass and its cover.

Other information

On holidays and day-offs, some partners may be closed, so it’s a good idea to check before you travel. Complaints regarding the use of Porto.CARD, except those related to transport, can be submitted on site, at the Porto Tourist Offices, and at the entity where you purchased your Porto.CARD.
